Good concept, poorly executed.

... View MoreWhile it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
... View MoreEve Arden plays a widowed mother looking after her children. Her job is as a book author. In one episode, she is upset that a doctored photo of her is being used to promote her book. In another episode, her trip to another city is cut-short by her worries for the health of her daughter. This sitcom has Eve's wonderful, slightly and very warmly sarcastic humor. Production values are decent, and the camera is typically good, as it's a Desilu production. The sponsor was Dove Soap, who keep their advertising down to a minimum. This show was just as good as many sitcoms of the 1950s, with a little work, it could have been excellent. It's short run, in fact, was probably because of a poor time-slot. Four episodes can be viewed online.
