... View MoreI don't know how this would play if I didn't come from Detroit, but I do, and I love the many references to Detroit culture: Mort Crim, Vernors, Detroit R&B and Soul Music... The entire cast is terrific but Sam Richardson is one of those brilliant comic actors that comes along every once and awhile, like Pryor and Murphy, who have have instinctive comic timing and charm. He's instantly lovable even while his character is displaying less than a admirable behavior. This show has its own quirky pacing and self awareness that makes it distinctly it's own. I hope people discover it. It's a perfect little comic gem.

... View MoreIt's not the kind of show where you're going to laugh really hard at anything, but it's the kind of thing where you're laughing the entire time. I find the characters likable, it doesn't rely on being overly offensive, and it's fairly clever.It's something I find myself enjoying consistently. They don't swing for the fences every time. That means it's not going to dazzle, but they don't ever fail. I hope it gets at least 3 seasons.
