Am i the only one who thinks........Average?
... View MoreFun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
... View MoreIt's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
... View MoreI think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
... View MoreYou have here a terrific Jean-Pierre Bacri vehicle, where he is at his very best. He gives in this film an outstanding performance which suits him like a glove. I guess no actors on earth could play such a character. The tale of a traveling salesman specialized in biological tooth brushes who suddenly realizes that he spoiled his entire life, he missed everything, family, girl friends, friends, everything. Jean-Pierre Bacri has always been a specialist for such characters. Bitter, cynical, disabused characters who don't believe in anything anymore. You see in this movie some funny sequences, but also depressing in you watch them closely. I highly appreciated the parallel between his character and the lost navigator's one - a British sailor named Donald Crowhurst who really existed. This is a so poignant film about loneliness and also an interesting feature that brings an offbeat point of view on homosexuality.
