Machotaildrop Trailers

Walter Rhum, an amateur skateboarder, realizes his dream of turning pro and riding for the world's greatest skateboard company, Machotaildrop. Set in an anachronistic time and place, Machotaildrop is the greatest skateboard company of its day and the regal and grand sport of skateboarding has been thriving for many generations. Walter's journey serves as a window through which we discover the dark underbelly of what appears at first to be a benign skateboard company.

Also starring Rick McCrank

Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

I attended the Word Premiere of "Machotaildrop" at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival. It was easily one of the trippiest films I've ever seen. Even the filmmakers admitted in response to my Q&A question that it was definitely, to some extent, a drug-induced story (based on past memories, of course). 18-year-old newcomer Anthony Amedori carries the film from opening to closing credits. If you're a skateboarder or fan of total freakshow films (or the classic British series "The Prisoner" ) "Machotaildrop" is the movie for you. It was an extremely enjoyable film and a laugh a minute.I also chose the film as one of my 8 Top Picks out of 30 films I saw.
