if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

The entire time I felt like I was watching a presentation of Judd Apatow's career by Judd Apatow. Like a live autobiography. The odd thing is----it's all very very generic. He's not saying anything I haven't really already heard from other comics. The cuts between the bits are really odd to me and doesn't feel very natural or authentic. I just wish he was digging deeper instead of the "how do you feel about..." "have you ever heard of...." "are we all watching...." "kids these days...."I think this would be more fun live rather than recorded.
