While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

I had never seen a movie by Theo van Gogh before, and didn't care much for the person, but I must say he has made a great movie. Although this picture runs for about 2 hours, it never gets dull because of the ingenious plot. On several occasions, Theo makes you re-organize your assumptions about who-did-what. The interesting camera work makes this movie a pleasure to watch. The tempo in this movie is not too high, yet smooth and never boring. Not until after the credits, I really understood the complete movie and it stayed in my mind for days after.I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

Theo van Gogh is a very controversial character in Holland, not always to be taken seriously. As a director he's a lot more serious.I think this is a really good Dutch movie. About half of it is spoken in English, very well too especially if you compare it to The Delivery, another Dutch thriller. The plot is intriguing and very surprising in the end. Acting is very good as well by the Dutch and the English cast. This makes it enjoyable even if you're not a Dutch viewer. 8 out of 10.
