I was totally surprised at how great this film.You could feel your paranoia rise as the film went on and as you gradually learned the details of the real situation.

In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

I value film for exposing me to people, places, and situations that are beyond my ordinary life. I highly valued what I got in this film. Many reviews will tell you about the basic scenario: British boxer, drug addict, in Thailand gets thrown into local prison. He doesn't speak much of the language; being in prison means being in prison culture, gang culture, etc. This guy is screwed 10 different ways. The filmmakers achieved amazing feats of filming without giving themselves away; they also created the sound-space of a prison-frequent cacophony-and a prison in a foreign and sometimes alien culture. And the tattoos of the prisoners! Oh, did I mention violence?

The production is terrible you just can see their faces while they fight which is very disappointing..

Suspensful story through the whole movie. Definitely a must watch!

I'm rarely speechless, but wow! Powerful raw emotion - anger, disgust, hope, despair. A rollercoaster ride that has you begging for it to end while hoping it doesn't. Beautifully shot, absolutely amazing footage and realism. 10 stars no questions. Amazing.
