Please don't spend money on this.

Brilliant and touching

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

I first started watching the Aleinist without knowing at firts it was a Caleb Carr novel As I watched the first episode I kept telling myself « I know these characters and I remember the dark and realistic set of New York city in the 1800 » I had read years ago The Angel of Darkness and was mesmerized by the novel ( you know the feeling you have when you finish a great book !!!) It took me one day and I finished all of the episodes If you are a big fan of greusome murder novels such as True Detective and The killing this is for you The era the the plot is set in gives the storyline a very dark and historical atmosphere. The artistic director did an incredible job and the actors are spot on I just finished watching it today and I can't wait for season 2

It took me until the third epidode to get past the creepiness and sexualization of the children. I did not read the book so cannot compare it to the show. I enjoyed the characters and appreciated how they did not make them too likable. Their faults and weaknesses make them relateable to me. The pace is slow at first but it takes time to draw you in. I loved the series and reccomend to anyone who enjoys the tenacity of those who pursue evil.

I wish there is season 2, good acting, exciting story
