There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

Silly? No... silly implies "cuteness". Stupid...? That´s it: STUPID.There´s no better word to describe this movie. Why? First of all... The dialogues. So very, very, very fake. I even feel offended by the way teens are looked in this "story". It isn´t that I talk in a "Dawsonian" way, but, come on! I know and use words with more that two syllables (is that how you spell syllable?).Second: the acting. Ouch! Those fake postures, gestures, phrases, etc. My God! Didn´t they traine... sorry... practise at all?Third: the photography. I don´t know about you, but when watching certain scenes, even walking looked funny.Fourth... fourth? There isn´t any fourth. The movie didn´t had that much! (Well, that is if you don´t count that TOTALLY made-up bathroom, I mean... the art director should have taken notice of how a REAL bathroom looks like).Anyway. It feels good to know Mexican cinema is slowly working and taking its way out of oblivion... but, please... don´t take this movie as an example of its come back!
