Overrated and overhyped

This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

The movie really just wants to entertain people.

This has to be the most random movie of 2004. The movie starts off with just about every 1990s bad guy you can think of. I don't even know where to go with this film. It's pretty obvious from the trailers that this movie is going to be really stupid. Yet, I was dumb enough to rent it anyways. (Hey, it was a weekend, and everything else was rented out.) Yeah, so I gave up after five minutes. I thought, I should at least see a flash of the hero and heroine. That was not very exciting either. Then I was, like, okay, maybe the songs could be tolerable. I almost got through watching one entire song until I was like, nyaah. It's not worth the torture.
