A brilliant film that helped define a genre

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

I actually only wrote this because I was so provoked by the producer's chirpy summary of the plot in this movie. To put things straight. This movie is a big mistake. From start to finish. Awful. It also was a huge flop at the Swedish box office. Not even children went for this crap. What still puzzles me though, is the fact that the movie features more music of Dr Alban than from Sean Banan. If it's supposed to cash in on The Banana's popularity among Swedish children, why focus on a middle aged, over the top has-been. And yes, I'm talking about Alban now - not Kikki. She's the only thing close to a rock star we have in Sweden. Except for Leila K, that is.
