Horrible, fascist and poorly acted
... View MoreThe best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
... View MoreThe tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
... View MoreIt is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
... View MoreI think that this movie rating is broken. Its a basic movie with poor cinematografy and not very good performances trying to be funnier than The Godfather III but they didn't accomplish it.
... View MoreBrilliantly charming, and it's influence can be seen in nearly everything in the genre that came after.
... View MoreA great movie that takes the mirror and points it right back at you. Great movie to not only to put you in a good mood, but a great movie to inspire you to get up and live your life. I'd recommend to anyone dealing with any mental health issues. Though it won't solve your problem, it'll definitely give you the motivation to solve your own problems.
... View MoreI really wanted to like it, after hearing friends talk about it like it were some paradigm of coming of age masterwork. But I really couldn't. The main character takes a day off, behaves badly and gets away with it. Which would make for a funny, cheeky film, weren't for the fact that such main character is an unlovable, self-absorbed young idiot. The film itself has more plot holes than a narrative colander and the other characters are little more than cardboard cutouts. Charlie Sheen fleetingly raises the tone slightly with a tiny, well acted part of a juvenile delinquent -- but this is pretty much the only positive thing I can say about this absolute dud of a movie.
