Very Cool!!!
... View MoreIt's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
... View MoreI didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
... View Morewhat a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
... View MoreAs spaghetti western comedies go, TRINITY & CARAMBOLA isn't too bad. It's an open copy of the popular Terence Hill/Bud Spencer outings of the era, with Antonio Cantafora and Paul Smith masquerading as the likable twosome. They play down-on-their-luck outlaws who end up in a ghost town, where they steal a valuable weapon which makes their fortunes, but various ne'er-do-wells plan to take them out. Directed by the great Ferdinando Baldi, this movie has a fine pace and lots of effort put into the various fight and action scenes. Unfortunately, like most Italian comedies, it's very low brow and goofy, which may be off-putting to some. The actors grimace and gurn their way through the proceedings and the sight gags are superficial; my favourite is the pool game with the stop-motion effects.
... View MoreNonsensical and tedious, slapstick but unfunny, this film is sheer torture to sit through. Although Smith, and most certainly Cantafora, are likable and engaging performers, the incoherent script and rambling nonsense doesn't give sufficient cause to exhibit any of their talent. Folco Lulli, a great character actor, is wasted in a cameo role. Both silly and boring, I found myself eagerly awaiting the end of this time waster which makes "The Dukes of Hazzard" look like Shakespeare in comparison. To be fair, it may play better in its original language but there is no doubt that it is deadly in English. Ironically, the ending itself is genuinely funny and was the only enjoyable part of the film. Unless you're a fan of interminable stupidity it would be wise to pass on this one.
