What a waste of my time!!!

Good idea lost in the noise

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

This was more about Billie Jean King struggling with her sexuality and trying to keep it a secret from her husband, sponsors, and fans, and less about women's rights and pay equality. Her husband was very understanding and patient with Billie which i found surprising. An ok movie the acting was good but i was reading a book at the same time so it didn't really hold my attention.

Fun and good natured story and film of the tennis matches that helped women place.

There's not enough for a film, so they mash everything they read on Wikipedia about Billie Jean King. Bobby Riggs match, the battle for pay equality; and discovery of her lesbian feelings. All are ok, but it's the gay story-line that is done the best. Shot beautifully and an interesting love triangle develops, where you have a real empathy for the husband.

I could only make it thru 45 agonizing minutes of this "movie" ... bobbing for apples in a deep fryer woulda been more fun.
