Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

This is a really enjoyable romantic comedy. I enjoy it every time. The twists and turns of the story are entertaining. Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet are excellent and believable in the roles they play. The real star of this film is the soundtrack. Whoever put together this group of songs did an outstanding job. If you are into music the soundtrack is truly a first class collection of great songs that are timeless to me. I have listened to the soundtrack over and over and I never tire of it.I highly recommend this movie to anyone who wants to spend a great 2 hours with good friends and great tunes.

I've seen this one a couple of times now, because there seems to be something genuine to it, even if it is basically quite simplistic. Kutcher didn't really convince me as much as he did before this time around, and some interactions between the two were just too childish, let alone funny.Still, I don't want to bash this one too much, because any romantic film that makes me want to try it again (and again) deserves a little credit, at the least. And I can't get enough of watching Amanda Peet on the (big) screen...The story is quite simple, their relationship isn't supposed to be as much, but... one can easily guess where all of this will be going, but this mix of lightheartedness and a fair sense of reality might be just about worthwhile to you. It was to me.I'll leave it at 6 out of 10 this time around.

This is year 2011 and while I am writing this review, almost 6 years have passed since this movie was released. A movie that epitomizes true feelings is timeless. I must have watched this movie a thousand times. It never failed to put me in a good mood. Forget about technicalities, and other stuff, if it spoils the movie then you can complain about it. There is something very innocent about this movie that takes you back to those years of hurried self discovery. And you revisit that part of your gone life through this movie. Plainly, one of the best movies in my collection!!!!

Sweet movie that keeps a good balance between romance and comedy, but the bonus stuff that didn't let this thing to fall apart was the drama touch, that appears in the right moments, just enough to keep it real and bring few not to big but yet... surprises in an overall genre defined by clichés. Also the chemistry between the two main characters is caught well, and the actors performance as young and naive opposite to more mature later is captured successfully.I highly recommend it to people that don't favor the genre, because it is not pathetic at all, a feeling I get very often when I watch romcom followed by thought "get over with it and end for once".
